Group Finance Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of our organization across multiple entities. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a proven track record in financial management, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and develop rolling forecasts. Work closely with department heads to understand their financial needs and ensure alignment with overall company objectives. Analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast, providing insights and recommendations.
- Financial Planning and Strategy: Contribute to the development of the organization’s financial strategy. Provide financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and expansions. Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities.
- Cash Management: Oversee cash flow management and ensure adequate liquidity to meet the organization’s needs. Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts. Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
- Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards. Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets. Manage audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial operations. Evaluate and implement new technologies to streamline financial processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with senior management, board members, and other stakeholders. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making. Present financial results and analysis in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
